WiFi Multiplexer

NMEA protocols transmit messages continuously, but do not check whether other NMEA devices are transmitting messages at the same time. This can lead to conflicts that make messages unreadable to the receiver.

De Quark-Elec NMEA multiplexers offer a solution: with multiple NMEA inputs, different devices can be connected. The multiplexers temporarily store data and then sort it, which drastically reduces the number of conflicts.

Some models can also filter messages, so that for example a chartplotter only receives relevant messages from a GPS, while messages from other devices such as a depth sounder are blocked.

Another advantage of the multiplexers is that the NMEA data can also be shared with laptops via WiFi, smartphones or tablets, so you can view AIS, GPS, NMEA and SeaTalk data, among other things, on your navigation software or app.
