This AIS + GPS receiver ensures that you receive real-time AIS and GPS on the Waterkaarten app. The solution for the lack of a GPS module on your iPad (WiFi) or improved GPS reception without delay.
Simple to use and powered by USB, it is a very cost effective AIS + GPS Receiver and NMEA multiplexer in one.
The A026 AIS + GPS via WiFi (no internet required), so you can view your data wirelessly from anywhere on the boat smartphone, tablet, or laptop. The A026 must be connected to your own VHF antenna for AIS reception or via a splitter to your current marine radio antenna.
The advantage of the integrated GPS is that you can not only see where the other ships are, but also your own position relative to other ships. An additional advantage when using a tablet is the extended battery life if you select this GPS instead of the internal one. You still need to connect a GPS antenna such as the Quark-Elec AS04.
