The Wi-Fi connection turns every laptop, PC, Mac, tablet and smartphone into an extra screen. While sailing, you want to have the view on the plotter at the helm position. OpenCPN
If you have some knowledge of hardware and software, this is the favorite. OpenCPN is an open source navigation program. Free.
It offers many possibilities, but does not yet excel in user-friendliness. If you want to use all the possibilities, there is a considerable learning curve.
The instruments and tactics plug-ins work perfectly with our multiplexers.

Navionics
'Who didn't grow up with it could be the slogan.'
A user-friendly interface with a lot of up-to-date data. The Sonarchart is a nice option. Navionics has a layer to show AIS data but unfortunately no yet option to display data from other instruments. Hopefully soon.
Available for iOS and Android and a limited but free browser version. Quark-Elec has an official 'compatible with Navionics' predicate. Smartmarine is officially navionics dealer.
Very easy to use! Download and install the Navionics boating app, just connect with the Quark-Elec device and its up & running.
WinGPS
A product from Stentec a Dutch company. In particular, the app for Android and Windows is very extensive with, among other things, AIS, tidal information, gribfiles coastal fine mode and Wi-Fi connection with on-board instruments. The price is a bit higher but you get a user-friendly and beautiful piece of software for that.
Available for Windows, iOS and Android. Our multiplexers are fully supported.
