Watermakers

Watermakers provide a convenient way to produce fresh water and are an essential piece of equipment for many cruisers.

A watermaker is a device that converts seawater into drinking water. Seawater is first filtered to remove impurities, then passed through a reverse osmosis membrane to remove dissolved salts and other contaminants. The resulting freshwater then goes through a final filter to remove any remaining impurities and is then stored in a freshwater tank and is then suitable for drinking.
